Leaked images of the Sony Ericsson Nozomi LT26i

It looks like Sony Ericsson is cooking up an Android flagship for 2012 sporting the codename “Nozomi”. Leaked images of a pre-production unit have been released by a member over at it168.com (the thread has since been removed). It’s not a bad looking Android smartphone, unfortunately details about the device are scare.

For know, we know the handset will be sold in two colors: black or white, and it sports a 4-inch 720p resolution touchscreen (the new standard for Android smarpthones). Anyone liking what they see so far? Is this the handset to bring Sony back to smartphone relevance?

LTE-equipped Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 spotted on FCC website

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 (SHV-E140S) has just passed through the FCC, complete with LTE support. Other than LTE testing, the FCC ran the tablet through the gauntlet of tests for GSM 1900 MHz, Bluetooth and 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 / 5 GHz).

A quick look over at the Wi-Fi Alliance website and you’ll find a certification granted on November 11, 2011. We’ve also seen the SHV-E140S listed in GLBenchmarks dating as far back as October 13th. A search for camera models matching SHV-E140S on Picasa only returned two images. Hit the links below for the respective research.

Motorola Droid 4 (XT894) breaks bread with FCC

Right on track for it’s December 8th release date, the Motorola Droid 4 (XT894) has just appears on the FCC website. Granted a clean bill of health with testing for CDMA2000 and LTE 700 MHz, the fourth generation Motorola Droid remains one of the few Android smartphones to sport a hardware QWERTY keyboard.

There’s not a whole lot going on in the filing so we’ll keep it short and sweet. If you’re a Verizon Wireless subscriber and itching for an Android smartphone with a hardware keyboard, get ready.
